Student Staff

Student Staff

G-RAP employs three student coordinators who are all current or former G-RAP participants. The student coordinators assist with basic administrative tasks and help communicate to students upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, and campus resources via email, Facebook, and flyers.

The program also boasts seven student Fellows who serve as academic and peer mentors to program participants. All former G-RAP students, the Fellows are selected based on academic performance and demonstrated G-RAP and campus engagement. The Fellows organize study sessions for G-RAP classes, provide tutoring, and assist with the planning of co-curricular events.

Student Coordinators

Niko Huebler,
Student Coordinator

Born and raised in Boulder, Colorado, Niko is double majoring in economics and political science and hopes to go into policy making. He is on the University of Colorado Club Crew team, and a member of Phi Sigma Pi National Co-Ed Honor Fraternity. Niko loves to travel, especially to visit his family in Argentina and Germany. He can speak español fluently, and ein bisschen Deutsch. When he is not studying, Niko enjoys doing almost anything outside in Colorado’s amazing outdoors, as well as cooking and playing tennis.

Kyra Scheiterlein, Student Coordinator

Born in Washington state, Kyra moved quite a bit before ending up in the small farm town of Eads, TN. She came to CU due to fate, the beautiful campus, and the amazing view of the Flatirons. She is studying business management and entrepreneurial studies at the Leeds School of Business and hopes to own and operate her own health-related business in the future. She is a member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority and secretary for the Society for Human Resource Management Club. In her free time, she loves to exercise, practice yoga, play sports, bake delicious meals and desserts, and find new corny jokes.

Student Fellows

Morgan Bond, Fellow

Morgan is a sophomore from Indian Springs, Alabama. She is a double major in International Affairs and Religious Studies with a focus on the Middle East and North Africa. She also hopes to earn the certificate in Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies. She has studied abroad in Australia and France and loves to travel. When Morgan isn’t in class or traveling, she loves to hike, ski, climb, and eat ice cream! She volunteers weekly with an organization that provides transportation for elderly folks in Boulder and serves as a staff member for the Backcountry Club at CU. She loves to help people in classes, especially in the areas that she studies, and she’s great at editing essays! She’s so excited to help the GRAP students so take advantage of her and the other fellows’ availability!

Emily Brocklander, Fellow

Emily is a sophomore getting a double degree in journalism and political science. She is from Thornton, Colorado and is a member of the Army ROTC program. She is involved in several clubs on campus and would love to help the students of G-RAP find an organization that suits them. She enjoys reading, spending time outside, and of course, G-RAP. Emily loves writing and is more than willing to help first-years with editing or writing their college essays. Feel free to come and talk to her about whatever, whenever.

Ashley Clevenger,
Fellow

Ashley is a sophomore anthropology major with an emphasis in cultural anthropology and women & gender studies. She grew up in a small town in southeastern Colorado but is a city girl at heart! She loves everything Boulder has to offer: the Flatirons, the food, and her fellow Buffs. When she's not hitting the books, she loves to volunteer, exercise, eat delicious things that aren't healthy for her, have dorm room dance parties, and go on spontaneous adventures. She is also involved in various groups on campus including the Presidents Leadership Class and Alpha Phi Omega, a co-ed service fraternity. Ashley will be living in Arnett next year and invites anyone to stop by for conversation or just to say "hi" -- she just might have cookies.

Kelsie Kitz,
Fellow

Kelsie is a sophomore from Boise, Idaho, studying civil engineering. She spent seven years living in the Philippines and has traveled all over the world. She hopes to earn CU’s International Engineering Certificate. When not studying, Kelsie loves to be outside, camping, backpacking, playing Frisbee, and skiing as much as she possibly can. She is involved with many groups on campus, including the marching band and Engineers without Borders. Kelsie is always willing to help out with writing an essay, translating Spanish homework, or getting through a math problem. She looks forward to meeting everyone and helping students have a great year here at CU!

Gabriella Martinez, Fellow

Gabriella hails from Littleton, Colorado, where she attended Columbine High School. She is a junior political science major, but she has a wide variety of interests and can answer all kinds of questions you may have! She is very familiar with G-RAP (she's been in it for the past two years) so feel free to come to her with any questions, or even just to chat. In her free time, Gabriella loves to exercise, bake (and then eat) a variety of desserts, watch football/basketball, and hang out with friends! She is really excited to have a wonderful year, and she's looking forward to getting to know the amazing G-RAP students!
