G-RAP Presents a Day at the Capitol Tuesday, 2/10, 8:00am-4:00pm, Denver Captitol
Remember Ben Waters, Denver lobbyist? G-RAP hosted him last semester for a provocative discussion of the 2014 election. February 10th, 10 students will have the opportunity to spend the day with him at the Capitol. You’ll have the unique opportunity to visit the House and Senate floor, see committees, and meet policy makers. This is an ALL DAY event and students will use RTD for transportation. RSVP online or to Jeanine in N206 ASAP. Before then, talk to your Tuesday professors about permission to miss class.

The Conference on World Affairs is a 67 year tradition which gathers 100 speakers from all over the world to CU Boulder’s campus in April for one week of stimulating panels and discussions. Students have the opportunity to connect with fascinating people with a wide range of backgrounds and expertise. Sessions encompass the arts, science, diplomacy, technology, environment, spirituality, politics, business, medicine, human rights, and so on. The CWA is the event most alumni remember from their CU experience, and volunteering is a great way to network and meet other CU students. We are currently recruiting student volunteers! Are you interested in volunteering in the community but overwhelmed by all of the options? Come to the Volunteer Symposium, an event organized especially for G-RAP students! A representative from the Volunteer Resource Center on campus will be highlighting a the many different ways you can get involved around Boulder.
